Leading industry brands BOA and Saucony were looking to create a product launch video for the next iteration of their flagship shoe, the Switchback 2. Showcasing the shoe's intended environment and realistic functionality was a priority for both of the brands.
Leading industry brands BOA and Saucony were looking to create a product launch video for the next iteration of their flagship shoe, the Switchback 2. Showcasing the shoe's intended environment and realistic functionality was a priority for both of the brands.
Brian designed and animated several fully CG environmental sections to live inside of a live-action edit. Using bullet-time style speed effects, Brian was able to show off the characteristics and intricacies of the shoe and its unique lacing system. The energy and pacing had to work in tandem with the style of editing the live-action provided.
The result was a snappy, visually interesting spot that no doubt engaged viewers across multiple social channels and platforms.
